Executive coaching

My mission is to coach executives in lobbying EU policies by using astrology. I coach public affairs management professionals, lobbyists, EU officials and politicians who are active in the European Union in Brussels (Bruxelles).

I research and provide a sandbox environment for discussing trend analyses, scenario plannings & strategies for lobbying EU policies. I provide a holistic approach by looking at processes within the European Union's political and institutional machinery from an astrological perspective.

What can you expect?
  • Astrology has the capability of disrupting a fixed vision by stimulating you to introduce innovating concepts and theories. Astrology is a spiritual tool to make us think 'out of the box', out of the preconceived frameworks of the mind and daily routines. If you are stuck in a tunnel vision, out of ideas or don't know where to begin this approach helps you out.
What are the inherent qualities in this approach?
  • My approach may be of help for you if you want to research current developments from a perspective outside the regular advisory world.
  • This approach may be of help for you if you are inclined to see things from a holistic more spiritual perspective, looking at the whole picture first. I provide a gateway to explore this within your professional field.
  • This approach may be of help for you if you want to focus more on your own purpose, if you want to become more purposeful in the EU arena, if you want to become more authentic as leader. Authentic leadership is one of the main drivers of success. My workshops help you to get there.

Scenario planning approach
I approach scenario planning in an analytic and holistic way. For my analytical approach I refer to Rinus van Schendelen's method outlined in 'Machiavelli in Brussels', Richard Corbett's explanation of lobbying EU policies in 'The European Parliament' and to Heike Kluver’s account of lobbying practices in ‘Lobbying the European Union’.

My holistic approach of scenario planning is based on the astrological delineation of mundane charts of events, organisations, countries, trends, etc. Astrology is unmatched as a medium for planning scenarios in a creative and holistic way. The astrological horoscope as a philosophical system has no equal in modeling time as a process of change and in qualifying that process.

Workshops
In my workshop I enable my clients to switch between analytic and holistic thinking, between 'objective' and 'subjective' reasoning. The process of defining scenario's and strategies becomes much more creative and new ideas start flowing more spontaneously.

The coachings process consists of workshop I, II, III, IV, selecting the main drivers of change, develop multiple story lines of multiple drivers, assess the impact of general trends and finaly to define a strategy.

I) Scenario planning starts with selecting the main drivers of change within the stakeholder arena, which means defining and delineating their horoscope. The main drivers are understood as the primary actors, factors and vectors in the process. By setting up scenarios we describe how these drivers change in time based on their initial constituency. It concerns drivers both public and private, on different levels in and outside EU countries, the European Union legislative and political machinery, and in and outside Europe as a whole. Here we answer the question what development in time takes place and how does this effect your lobby goals, the particular dossier and the stakeholder arena.

II) Next we describe the interaction and changes in time of multiple story lines of multiple drivers. The question we answer here is how do these developments work together, how does their relationships evolve over time, what are the strong and weak points in their relationships, etc. Here we select the most relevant story lines and assess how this effects your lobby goals, the particular dossier and the stakeholder arena.

III) Thirdly we focus on the impact of relevant trends in general. This concerns political, economic, financial, social, demographic and cultural trends. The question we answer here is how to assess the effect of these general trends in 4+ years on your lobby project, the particular dossier and on the stakeholder arena.

IV) A strategy for lobby actions is based on the operationalisation of these planned scenario's. It defines how to act in order to create a winning or next best scenario, etc. An important question in strategy development is: who is acting? It's important to look at oneselves as a drivers of change, which means looking at the constituency of your organisation and the changes it is going through. To assess how this relates to other drivers on the scene, etc. Our sandbox is a discrete environment that makes it possible to step back and reflect on oneselves, to breathe and to look at things from the heart.
